Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)- Skills Evaluation:
American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has restructured the NRP to now require completion of an online examination prior to attending the NRP course. The Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is based on the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care of the Neonate.
The NRP course format requires learners to study the Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation ,7th edition, and take an Online Examination prior to the skills course. You will receive the Official AAP/AHA provider card immediately upon successful completion of the Interactive Course.
Steps:
1-Purchase NRP online from www.aap.org/nrp. (Textbook is NOT included in the price)
2-After you have received your access key, complete the NRP course online at home and print out your online course completion certificate.
3-Call us at (818) 912-2220 to schedule an appointment for Skills practice and evaluation ($125)
4-Come to the Center for Advanced Life Support at the scheduled time. Be sure to bring your course completion certificate. After completion of the skills, you will receive the Official AAP/AHA (NRP) provider eCard the same day.
To take an American Heart Association- Online Course:
1- Purchase the skills evaluation date from the class schedule.
2- After we review your purchase, we will e-mail you your access key for the online course.
3- After completion of the online course, print out the certificate of completion and bring it to our AHA training site to complete the skills portion (Part 2 & 3) and receive your American Heart Association card that same day.
